Legal
Signup Studio, LLC (“signup.studio,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates signup.studio. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights and choices.
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and any profile information you provide through Clerk, our authentication provider. Clerk manages password storage and identity verification on our behalf.
Sign‑up page content. We store the event details, slot configurations, custom questions, images, and other content you create on the platform.
Participant information. When a participant registers for your sign‑up page, we collect their name, email address, and optionally their phone number (if you enable SMS reminders). This information is collected on your behalf as the organizer. You are the data controller for participant data; signup.studio processes it as your service provider. Participants are not signup.studio account holders and do not have a direct relationship with us beyond the registration transaction.
Purchases and billing. If you buy a paid sign‑up or SMS credits, Stripe collects and processes your payment information on our behalf. signup.studio stores only a record of what was purchased and when it expires — we never see or store your full card details. There are no subscriptions, so we hold no recurring billing arrangement for you.
Usage data. We collect aggregate data about sign‑up page views and registration conversions to power the analytics we provide to organizers. We do not use third-party advertising trackers or behavioral profiling.
Communications. If you contact us by email, we retain records of that correspondence.
We use the information we collect to:
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for advertising.
signup.studio uses the following third-party services to operate the platform. We share only the information each provider needs to perform its function.
Each provider maintains its own privacy policy and security practices. We are not responsible for the data practices of third-party providers beyond our contractual agreements with them.
signup.studio uses session cookies for authentication and browser local storage for theme preferences. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your account data and sign‑up pages are permanently and immediately deleted.
Participant registration data is stored as long as the associated sign‑up page exists. When an organizer deletes a sign‑up page, participant data for that page is deleted as well.
We may retain anonymized, aggregated data (such as aggregate usage statistics) indefinitely, as this data cannot be used to identify individuals.
You may:
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss. However, no system is completely secure. If you discover a security vulnerability, please contact us at hello@signup.studio.
signup.studio is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect about you, request deletion of your personal information, and opt out of the sale of your personal information. signup.studio does not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, contact us at hello@signup.studio.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by a notice on the platform. Continued use of signup.studio after the effective date of any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
